BTL FJSL Invitational Acceptives Week 2

Between The Lines is excited to head back to Welland, ON on August 26th & 27th! BTL has teamed up with the Fergie Jenkins Showcase League in the annual BTL FJSL Invitational. The event highlights the top athletes within the FJSL. Below are the players that have accepted their invite to the BTL FJSL Invitational this week!


Tanner Wiens

RHP, OF / Niagara Falls, ON / 2027 / Uncommitted

The latest athlete to be invited and accept their invitation to the annual BTL FJSL Invitational in Welland, ON is 2027 Tanner Wiens, a 6-foot, 135-pound right-handed pitcher and outfielder from A.N. Myer who plays for Bullettproof Baseball.

Wiens has been making waves in the baseball world with his impressive performances on the field, and his 3.9 GPA in school shows that he is just as dedicated to his academics as he is to his sport. His all-around skills as a pitcher and outfielder have caught the attention of scouts, and his acceptance of the BTL FJSL Invitational invite is a clear indication of his potential.

Joey Bowman

1B, 3B / Niagara on the Lake, ON / 2024 / Uncommitted

Holy Cross High School’s Joey Bowman has accepted his invitation to the prestigious BTL FJSL Invitational, set to take place later this year. The 6’4, 220 lb athlete plays 1B and 3B and has been turning heads with his impressive skills on the field.

Bowman’s academic achievements are just as impressive as his athletic ones, boasting a 3.7 GPA at Holy Cross. He hits left and throws right, with an exit velocity of 80 MPH and a hand speed of 18.2 MPH.

Mason Dunn

Ontario Tusks Baseball Academy’s very own Mason Dunn has been invited to attend the highly competitive BTL FJSL Invitational, and he has accepted the invitation with great excitement. The event will take place later this year, and Mason cannot wait to showcase his skills against some of the best young baseball talent in the country.

Mason is a versatile player, able to play both infield and pitch as a right-hander. He stands at 5’9 and weighs in at 145 lbs, and has an exit velocity of 82 MPH with an impressive 76% on-plane efficiency. He has been a valuable member of the Ontario Tusks Baseball Academy, where he has honed his skills and shown his dedication to the game.

2025, Landon Young, a 5’7, 137 pound high school student from Laura Secord Secondary School, received and accepted an invitation to participate in the BTL FJSL Invitational. Young, who plays both right-handed pitcher and second baseman, is a member of the Bulletproof Baseball team and has a 3.5 GPA.

The BTL FJSL Invitational is a highly prestigious baseball tournament that features the most talented high school players from across the country. Malachi Farrow
