BTL Complete Game Baseball Scout Day Recap

BTL teamed up with Complete Game Baseball out of Quincy, Illinois to host a showcase for their high school level athletes. Below is a look at some of the top performers from the event.


Mitchell Meier

RHP / Camp Point, IL / 2024 / Uncommitted

Junior Mitchell Meier is an exciting prospect in the 2024 Class, with a skill set that makes him a formidable presence on the mound. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 170 pounds, Meier boasts a free and easy delivery that allows him to execute his pitches with precision and ease. His fastball is particularly impressive, sitting at 85-87 MPH with a spin rate of 2100+ RPM, making it difficult for opposing batters to hit. In addition to his fastball, Meier also has a sweeping curveball that hits 74 MPH with a spin rate of 1500+. This pitch provides a great change of pace and can catch batters off guard. Meier also has a sinker that moves on hitters, sitting at 82 MPH with 1800+ RPM, and a changeup that sits at 78 MPH.


Kane Wilson

MIF / Hannibal, MO / 2024 / Uncommitted

2024 Junior Kane Wilson is an impressive baseball player who stands at 6-foot-2 and weighs 210 pounds. He is a force to be reckoned with at the plate, showcasing a powerful swing that generates plenty of hard contact. Wilson’s bat plays well to all  sides of the field from the right side of the box, where he can unleash a violent swing to hit the ball with ease. His exit velocity of 88 MPH is a testament to his hitting prowess, and he is sure to continue making a big impact at the plate. In addition to his impressive hitting, the 2024 is also a skilled infielder, showing a great range of motion and a strong arm. He is able to make accurate throws across the diamond reaching speeds of up to 77 MPH.


James Mueller

RHP / Quincy, IL / 2024 / Uncommitted

Standing in at 6-foot, 170 pounds, James Mueller was a pitcher that showed poise on the mound. Mueller’s fastball consistently sat around 80-81 MPH. To go alongside his fastball, Mueller displayed a 75 MPH, 2058 RPM curveball with a lot of movement, a 76 MPH, 1908 rpm changeup, and a 75 MPH, 2085 RPM slider.  On the mound, Mueller did a good job of using his whole body during the delivery, allowing him to optimize the force behind his pitches. Mueller was able to show effective control on his pitches that were able to be used at any time.


Grayson Conkright

SS, RHP / Warsaw, IL / 2025 / Uncommitted

Grayson Conkright, a 6-foot-1, 200 pound 2025 sophomore, stood out from the start, remaining a notable prospect as the event went on. With an exit velocity of 88 MPH, he consistently barrels up balls and generates hard contact. In addition, Conkright has a strong arm, as he can throw the ball across the diamond at 84 MPH. As a pitcher, Conkright has a diverse repertoire of pitches, including a fastball that sits at 82-84 MPH and produces a spin rate of 2100+ RPM, a devastating slider that hits 72 MPH with a spin rate of 2205 RPM, and a changeup that sits at 76 MPH. In addition, Conkright throws a 2-seam Fastball with a ton of movement that sits at 84 MPH with a spin rate 2200+ RPM.


Tykell Hammers

OF, SS / Quincy, IL / 2025 / Uncommitted

Sophomore Tykell Hammers, stands at 6 foot and weighs in at 188 pounds, Hammers boasts a range of impressive tools that make him a standout on the field. He shows good potential speed, running a 7.21 60-yard dash, and has a powerful arm that can hit 82 MPH from the outfield. But it’s not just Hammer’s speed and arm strength that make him a standout player. He is also a force to be reckoned with at the plate, showcasing a smooth and quick swing that generates plenty of power from the right side. His good rhythm at the plate allows his exit velocity to hit 86 MPH during the event.


Vince Dale

RHP, 3B / Memphis, MO / 2025 / Uncommitted

2025 Sophomore Vince Dale is quickly making a name for himself as a two-way player with incredible potential. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 210 pounds, Dale possesses a rare combination of skills that make him a standout both as an infielder and a pitcher. As a left-handed hitter, Dale showcases impressive power, with the ability to hit for power to the opposite. As an infielder, he has excellent range and a strong arm, with the ability to make accurate throws across the diamond at speeds of up to 82 MPH. Dale’s talents aren’t limited to just being an infielder. As a pitcher, he is equally impressive becoming one of the top arms in his class at the event, He has a fastball that jumps on hitters that sits at 83-84 MPH with RPMs of 2000+ along with his 2-seam fastball that gets up to 82 MPH and RPMs of over 1900. Dale also has a cutter that generates RPMs over 1800 along with movement, and a changeup that hits 75 MPH.


Simon Rabe

C, UT / Ursa, IL / 2025 / Uncommitted

Simon Rabe, a 2025 grad year sophomore, is a standout player in his class with his versatile skill set. The 5-foot-6, 160 pound switching hitting catcher, who also plays Infield and Outfield, has a great presence on the field. He consistently hits from both sides of the plate with an exit velocity that gets up to 83 MPH. Rabe is a true catcher that can call a game effectively, and his pop time of 2.13 demonstrates his ability to make quick and accurate throws to second base. Rabe shows great blocking and receiving skills that helps him control the game behind the plate.


Blake Davis

SS, RHP / Keokuk, IA / 2027 / Uncommitted

2027 Blake Davis is a name to remember over the next couple of years to come as he heads towards his high school career. The Iowa native is quickly becoming one of the top players in his graduating class, showcasing his skill both at the plate and on the mound. The two-way athlete is a line drive machine that shows constant power hitting 79 MPH from the right side. On the mound, Davis is becoming one of the top arms in his class, sitting 74-76 with his fastball, topping it out at 78 MPH with a spin rate constantly over 2200 RPM. His curveball is also a weapon for him, generating a spin rate of 2182 RPM with a speed of 69 MPH, to go along with his 72 MPH changeup.


Kade Hoskins

OF, RHP / Warsaw, IL / 2027 / Uncommitted

Kade Hoskins is a name to keep an eye out for in the 2027 grad class. Standing at 5-foot-9 and weighing 150 pounds, Hoskins possesses an incredible amount of speed. Hoskins ran in the 60-yard dash in a blazing 7.12. His speed and quickness make him a threat on the basepaths and in the outfield. Hoskins also shows pop from the right side of the plate with an exit velocity of 78 MPH. He is a two-way player that shows potential on the mound, His fastball sits at 70 mph with a spin rate of 1580 RPM, a 63 MPH breaking ball, and a 64 MPH changeup that both produce 1500+ RPM. While his pitching arsenal is still developing, Hoskins shows potential as a pitcher with good control and movement on his pitches.
